Actress Killed in Hit and Run When Rescuing an Injured Animal
February 13, 2012-According to reports an actress and former soap star was killed by a hit and run driver, while attempting to rescue an injured animal. According to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Cleon Joseph the hit and run occurred Sunday at approximately midnight in the 600 block of Forest Lawn Drive in the vicinity of Zoo Drive in Griffith Park.
The actress and former soap star that was struck and killed was identified as Zina Feeley, who went by the name Zina Bethune, using her maiden name age 66.
Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Matt Spence said Bethune/Freeley was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
LAPD Officer Joseph said that Feeley was driving westbound on Forest Lawn Drive when she stopped to assist and injured animal that was lying in the road. When the actress was walking toward the animal she was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Forest
